weekend mileage
I walked a total of 9.57 miles this weekend. I finished five loads of laundry, watched two movies and a ballgame ⚾️ And attended Saturday evening church. The weather has been cool and very windy. I noticed my first hummer at the feeder this morning and Whitey sunning himself 🌤 taking in all in.
I’ve decided to call the doctor 👨⚕️ about my knee tomorrow.

a weird story
I keep my dirty running socks in a mesh bag. It's easy to throw in the washer when I'm doing laundry and easier to sort the pairs after I take them out of the dryer. Something strange has been happening lately. For the third time I have found one stray pink sock that has somehow escaped from the bag and mixed in with the various towels and whatever happens to be in the laundry that day. The mesh bag is always zipped up, I'm OCD. I check it. This is an absolutely true story and I find it very puzzling. I'm going to try to find out why this is happening. Maybe I'll stuff them all into a smaller mesh bag and see if that makes a difference. I'm guessing it won't.

amazing
Yesterday I subbed in the same third grade classroom as the day before. I tucked my pedometer in my pocket and when I got home it read 4.64 miles, the same distance. I thought that was amazing! Today I will break out my new Nikes and walk on the Green way, my favorite trail. Also, I've got a ton of laundry to do!!

chores
When I was a "real teacher" The month of January was my least favorite. Today I spent time doing laundry, making vegetable soup and reading:
- The first three chapters of 1st Kings
- Eva Braun by Heike Gortemaker (on my iPad)
- The Foremost Good Fortune by Susan Conley (also on my iPad)

some pictures
Yesterday my pedometer read 16,257 steps or 6.15 miles all at school! I couldn't believe how tired I was when I got home, that's why I'm posting this on Saturday morning and doing a ton of laundry so I can start all over again on Monday.

digging out
Oh yeah, we received eight inches of snow and then some! I ventured out only to take this picture and pick up the morning newspaper. My activities today are laundry, Martha Stewart, and reading about the Great Wall of China.
