weekend mileage

I walked a total of 9.57 miles this weekend. I finished five loads of laundry, watched two movies and a ballgame ⚾️ And attended Saturday evening church. The weather has been cool and very windy. I noticed my first hummer at the feeder this morning and Whitey sunning himself 🌤 taking in all in.
I’ve decided to call the doctor 👨‍⚕️ about my knee tomorrow.

a call to sub

My phone rang yesterday or rather chirped ( I have a frog ring tone) and it was the secretary at school asking me to sub. Wow, school hasn't even officially started yet but she knew she needed someone to sub in first grade next week. Sorry to say I had something planned on that day so I had to decline but mentally I am ready to get back to a routine. For the past week or so I've taken a little break from biking/walking/daily exercise. Even though the weather is beautiful sometimes for me it is more beneficial to read books and watch birds out on my patio.

where are the cardinals

I realized this morning that I haven't seen any cardinals in our backyard this winter. With all of our berry bushes, the big cedar tree and several bird feeders, we usually attract many birds and I frequently will see cardinals when I look out my kitchen window. Not so this year. I enjoy bird watching so this is a real puzzle for me. Can the weather be too cold for them to come out?
